Costello's Makery is a trading name of Fenrhus Ltd. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. That includes people who use assistive technology, keyboard navigation, screen readers and people who need clearer layouts or simpler language. Costello's Makery is committed to making our website accessible and easy to use for as many people as possible. We aim to ensure everyone can access the information they need, regardless of ability or the technology they use.

Our approach

Costello’s Makery aims to follow recognised web accessibility good practice and to work towards meeting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA) where reasonably possible. W3C identifies WCAG as the internationally recognised standard for web accessibility, and GOV.UK’s model accessibility statement is built around reporting against WCAG-based expectations.

Because this is a growing small-business website, some parts of the site may not yet fully meet those standards. We are continuing to review and improve accessibility as the website evolves.

What we’re doing to improve accessibility

We have taken steps such as:

  • Using clear headings and a straightforward page structure

  • Using readable font sizes and good colour contrast

  • Making buttons and links easy to identify and tap on mobile

  • Providing text alternatives for important images where appropriate

  • Supporting keyboard navigation where the website platform allows

  • Keeping content short, practical and easy to understand

Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some parts of the website may not be fully accessible, for example:

  • Some images may not yet have full descriptive alt text

  • Third-party embedded content (such as Google Maps) may not fully meet accessibility standards

  • Certain platform features and templates are controlled by Wix, so some accessibility behaviour may be limited

We are working to improve these areas over time.

We regularly review the site and aim to improve over time by:

  • Checking keyboard navigation and focus states

  • Improving alt text and link clarity

  • Reviewing colour contrast and readability on mobile
